Creating a Corridor of Power

Objectives:
- To launch the Wolverhampton Telford Technology Corridor
among SME's and partners in the corridor area
- To generate enquiries to participate in the £28m scheme
- To recruit 150 delegates to the event
Strategy and
Plan: AURA worked with Worcester based Dynamo Marketing
Communications to develop a strategy and tactical programme
to recruit delegates via publicity and direct mail. The team
sourced the services of Charles Morgan, MD of the Morgan Motor
Company as keynote speaker on the day. AURA and Dynamo produced
a range of delegate materials for use on the day and stage
managed a successful photocall.
Measurement and Evaluation:
In total more than 1.5million people had the opportunity to
read or hear about the launch of the Wolverhamton Telford
Technology Corridor with eight live and recorded radio interviews
carried across BBC and independent radio stations covering
the West Midlands region, preview articles and launch event
coverage in the Wolverhampton Express and Star, Shropshire
Star, Birmingham Post and Birmingham Evening Mail and a feature
in the November 2003 edition of Business Report.
